They sound like one shot deals, according to the developer notes. I kinda wish they were daily. A few strongboxes a day might help more casual PvP'rs to get interested in other areas of PvP.

These quests also give a taste of the new Zaishen Strongbox rewards in this update and can each be completed once per account. Players can start these quests by speaking with Zenjal [Zaishen Recruiter] in the Great Temple of Balthazar or any port city.

Well that stinks... I guess I'm done pvping again...although it was sorta fun running after the monk in HA yelling ""I've never played this b4!" as I pesterd the crap out of him as he raged calling me every name in the book....lol
Tbh the quests were the only reason I and most of my guild pvp'd today...I am sure there are a very large amount of ppl in the same boat and as such I would expect in new influx to pvp to drop off as ppl complete the "1 time only quests".
If they made them at least reset weekly I am sure it would keep a healthy amount of ppl in the formats.

Haha well I was considering PvP but guildless and my activity is next to non existent outside of treasure chests once in a while. Sounds like an awesome time though.

woah wooah this is major but a few things occurred to me
1) if you can convert kurz to luxon faction, isn't everyone going to jump ship from luxon FA to kurz? cause I sure would. And everyone from kurz JQ will change to Lux causing longer wait times.
2) are these new weapons displayable in HoM otherwise I dont see the point of farming for them
ok going to check it out now

You get Imperial faction now, which you can exchange for Kurzick, Luxon, or Balthazar; you can't exchange Kurzick for Luxon nor vice-versa. I didn't play any FA today, but I did play about a dozen JQ matches, and I was able to get into them very quickly and a few times I'd have someone on my team that the last match I was playing against.
FA has bigger problems and I don't think this is going to help it much, which is unfortunate because I do like it a lot.

Sure. Instead of fixing the problems with the arena, which would probably necessitate a redesign of the entire arena, players can now choose to play on the side which they believe has the best advantage and get faction for either side while doing it.

Maybe this would happen if Luxons knew how to win JQ.

The logic of lowering consecutives required for arena titles, and then adding a big cash reward for 5 consecs, escapes me.

It escapes me as well. Instead people have even more reason to leave for better teams and sync RA.
Also I don't get the new gold Envoy staffs having 10% HCT instead of 20% HSR as the inherent but this is probably a bug though.

HA rank emotes are meaningless because:
1. The quality of play in HA is far lower than that of even mid-tier GvG.
2. HA rewards straight-up time investment. Grinding GvG ladder cannot be the exclusive fashion in which one obtains rating - after a certain point, it becomes nearly useless. Sustained excellence in ATs/mATs is required.
3. HA titles aren't exclusive. At all. The idea that only a handful of people in the world are going to legitimately have access to the rank 1 guild emote is kind of a cool one.

I wonder why PvP "intro" quests reward XP instead of Balth faction ...

i like the gladiator change, makes syncing less usefull and gives new players a better chance at obtaining gladiator points.

It doesn't make syncing any less useful, it just makes it yield more points. And the addition of the strongboxes makes syncing profitable as well.
